U.S. tourism to the Caribbean has declined 7.3 percent for the first six months of 2009 when compared to 2008, said Carib World News in its edition today.The internet newspaper said that it compiled the statistics based on air travelers. There were 2.8 million tourists during the first six months of this year, it said. However, the numbers are showing a rising trend, it added.Over all U.S. foreign travel dropped about 5 percent, the newspaper said.
